Youth Events and Activities at the Conference
June 4, 2008 - 01:18 PM

Hi everyone,

There are a number of really interesting youth related activities, sessions and events being planned for Mexico. It would be great if anyone who is planning youth activities to share some info about them here. Looking forward to learning about what is being planned!

Could you please post on the youth site what these activities are. I seem not to be getting much information on these activities. How come when I log it it takes me to my TIG site and not my conference profile/site?

The Mexico YouthForce is working on a "youth roadmap" for the conference program that will highlight as many youth events and activities as possible. Once it is ready, we will post it up on the AIDS 2008 Youth Site. So, if anyone knows of some events that you would like the Mexico YouthForce to include in the road map, please let us know.

The "opportunities" section of AIDS 2008 Youth Site also outlines details of some interesting youth activities.

In terms of your question about TIG; you have to have a TIG account to post something on these message boards. I imagine that's why it directs you there.. but if you still keep having problems, let us know and we'll try to figure it out.

Hello again,

Another useful tip for identifying youth sessions at the conference:

The official conference programme is available online now smile And there is a really handy tool where you can select a specific theme, including "youth" to see all the sessions that relate to that theme.

Go to www.aids2008.org/Pag/PAG.aspx

For youth sessions, select "youth" from the roadmap drop-down menu.
